Clash of the Titans (1981)


Clash of the Titans is a 1981 British-American fantasy adventure film directed by Desmond Davis, involving the Greek hero Perseus. It stars Harry Hamlin, Judi Bowker, Burgess Meredith, Maggie Smith and Laurence Olivier. The film features the final work of stop motion visual effects artist Ray Harryhausen. It was released on June 12, 1981 and grossed $41 million at the North American box office, which made it the 11th highest grossing film of the year. A novelization of the film by Alan Dean Foster was published in 1981.

Clash of the Titans (2010)




Clash of the Titans is a 2010 British-American fantasy adventure film and remake of the 1981 film of the same name produced by MGM (the rights to which had been acquired by Warner Bros. in 1996). The story is very loosely based on the Greek myth of Perseus. Directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Sam Worthington, the film was originally set for standard release on March 26, 2010. However, it was later announced that the film would be converted to 3D and was released on April 2, 2010. Clash of the Titans grossed $493 million worldwide, though it received generally negative reviews from critics and received two Golden Raspberry Awards nominations. The film's success led to a sequel, Wrath of the Titans, released in March 2012. A third film titled Revenge of the Titans was in development but then later cancelled.

Wrath of the Titans is a 2012 heroic fantasy adventure film and sequel to the 2010 film Clash of the Titans. The film stars Sam Worthington, Rosamund Pike, Bill Nighy, Édgar Ramírez, Toby Kebbell, Danny Huston, Ralph Fiennes, and Liam Neeson, with Jonathan Liebesman directing a screenplay by Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson. Wrath of the Titans takes place a decade after the events of the first film as the gods lose control over the imprisoned Titans and Perseus is called, this time to rescue his father Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

Percy Jackson &the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (also known as Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief) is a 2010 fantasy film directed by Chris Columbus. The film is based on The Lightning Thief, the first novel in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. It stars Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson alongside an ensemble cast that includes Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Abel, Rosario Dawson, Steve Coogan, Uma Thurman, Catherine Keener, Kevin McKidd, Sean Bean and Pierce Brosnan. It was released to theaters on February 12, 2010 in the United States by 20th Century Fox. 



Percy Jackson & the Olympians: Sea of Monsters (2014)



Percy Jackson: Sea ofMonsters (alsoknown as Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters) is a 2013 American fantasy adventure film directed by Thor Freudenthal. It is the second installment in the Percy Jackson film series and is based on the novel The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. It is a sequel to the 2010 film Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. The plot centers on Percy and his friends as they journey to the eponymous Sea of Monsters to retrieve the Golden Fleece in order to save their safe but dying haven.

Hercules (1997)





Hercules is a 1997 American animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The 35th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, the film was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. The film is loosely based on the legendary hero Heracles (known in the film by his Roman name, Hercules), the son of Zeus, in Greek mythology.

Hercules is a 2014 American 3D action fantasy adventure film produced by Barry Levine and Beau Flynn with Peter Berg, Sarah Aubrey, Ross Fanger, and Jesse Berger serving as executive producers, directed by Brett Ratner, written by Ryan J. Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulos with music by Fernando Velázquez and starring Dwayne Johnson, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell and John Hurt. It is based on the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars.

The Legend of Hercules is a 2014 American 3D action fantasy film directed by Renny Harlin and written by Daniel Giat and Sean Hood. The film stars Kellan Lutz, Gaia Weiss, Scott Adkins, Roxanne McKee, and Liam Garrigan. It was one of two Hollywood-studio Hercules films released in 2014, with Paramount Pictures' and MGM's co-production Hercules. The film was released on January 10 of that year and was a critical and commercial failure.

Jason and the Argonauts (1963)


Jason and the Argonauts (working title Jason and the Golden Fleece) is an independently made 1963 British fantasy film distributed by Columbia Pictures, produced by Charles H. Schneer, directed by Don Chaffey, and starring Todd Armstrong, Nancy Kovack, Honor Blackman, and Gary Raymond. The film was made in collaboration with stop motion animation expert Ray Harryhausen and is noted for its various fantasy creatures, notably the iconic fight scene featuring multiple warrior skeletons. The score was composed by Bernard Herrmann, who also worked with Harryhausen on the fantasy films The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958) and Mysterious Island (1961).

Minotaur is a 2006 horror film, directed by Jonathan English. It stars Tom Hardy, Tony Todd, Ingrid Pitt and Rutger Hauer. It was filmed in Luxembourg.



Inmortals (2011)



Immortals is a 2011 American epic fantasy-action-adventure film directed by Tarsem Singh and starring Henry Cavill, Freida Pinto, and Mickey Rourke. The film also stars Luke Evans, Steve Byers, Kellan Lutz, Joseph Morgan, Stephen Dorff, Daniel Sharman, Alan van Sprang, Isabel Lucas, Corey Sevier, and John Hurt. The film was previously named Dawn of War and War of the Gods before being officially named Immortals, and is loosely based on the Greek myths of Theseus and the Minotaur and the Titanomachy.
